My husband and I had been considering the benefits of an inversion table due to our chronic back issues. His came from a desk job that had him slumped over a computer most of the day and mine had been a lifelong problem with my neck and upper back. Twist just the wrong way, and I would be out for the count for at least two or three days. People had repeatedly told us that their back problems faded fast when they started to use an inversion table, but we weren’t sure it was the right solution.
I began shopping around for tables that could progress along with us if we decided to use the therapy. From what I learned, you don’t want to start with total inversion, but instead progress slowly by controlled degrees. That’s why the Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest appealed to me immediately. With high consumer ratings and loads of features, not to mention a good price, it seemed like all we might need.
I read phrases like “heavy duty”, “adjustable” (I’m 5’4″ and my husband is 6’1″, so adjustability was a must), and “comfort” really won me over. When one description said it could help us eliminate back pain for good … well, I was ready to give it a try!
About the Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest
Heavy Duty Frame
With its 1.5-inch square steel frame, the Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest is capable of holding a person up to 300 pounds total. This was very good news since my husband is a tall and well-built guy.
However, I worried that the heavy frame would mean the table would not accommodate a lot of different body types. Fortunately, though very sturdy, it adjusts to multiple angles and easily slides into different height adjustments. Ranging from 4′ 10″ to 6′ 6″, the easily adjustable bench works for almost anyone.
In fact, in addition to the heavy duty nature of the frame, the rest of the design is a perfect match. Durable handlebars allow me to use it on my own, going from an inversion back to the upright without strain or struggle. The durability of the Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest is also easy to feel in the adjustable tether strap that provides us with easy, safe and comfortable inversions.
Comfort Foam Backrest
Shop around for inversion tables and you soon see that not many offer a comfortable bench. While it makes sense to skip attention to this detail simply because you will not use the platform in a traditional way, I found that the backrest on the Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest should be a major selling point. It is contoured nicely to conform to the body and the thick foam padding, along with foam rollers and ankle cushions on the lower leg offered just the right amount of support.
Vinyl covered, 3/4″ soft foam, the backrest is easy to clean and does not allow you to slip, slide or experience anything other than total relaxation. The cushions at the ankle provide an added measure of security, and we have not felt any of the movement or sliding that seems to be a problem with other models of inversion tables.

Customer Reviews and Scores
The Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest is touted as a heavy duty option, and it is clearly designed to provide stability and safety for those hoping to use it for back pain relief. Because my husband and I have different kinds of back pain (one of us needing a bit of mild stretching and the other a bit of help with posture), I wanted to be sure the Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest had what it would take.through the
With over 1200 reviews at Amazon.com for the Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest, I was able to see quickly that 89% of them were “five star” or “four star”, 5% three star, and just a scant few ranging from two to one star. With an average of 4.3 out of five stars, it was clear that it was a good product with lots of happy owners.
Still, I wanted to be certain that I wasn’t putting too much confidence in those stars, so I went read through the various positive and negative reviews to be sure. I was surprised someone gave it a low rating because of its durability, saying it was “not for lightweights … a VERY sturdy piece of equipment” they went on to say “I would give it a 5-star rating if I could use it!” In other words, they felt the 55 pound weight of the Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest was too much.
Another few negatives came from the discomfort experienced in the ankles, with some saying they felt it did not give enough contact. However, with only 6% of the total feedback being less than two stars, it was easy enough to see this as a winner.
The positives were more like rave reviews, “more than I expected” and so on. I totally agree with all of the positive feedback about the table. It really provides the quality and excellent performance the product description promised.
The Exerpeutic Inversion Table with Comfort Foam Backrest is a great option for anyone new to inversion therapy or interested in seeing its many benefits. We always felt totally in control, it accommodated my smaller frame and my husband’s taller and heftier one without either of us experiencing discomfort. Adjustable controls move easily and perform well, and we can even fold it out of the way. It took only a short time to assemble, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for some back pain relief.
